Tanya Sousa | Author
Tanya has worked as a newspaper reporter, has written for magazines, and is the author of children’s books such as the Silver Moonbeam Award-winner, Life Is a Bowl of Cherry Pits. Her environmental novel, The Starling God, was on the shortlist for the 2015 national Green Earth Book Awards.
Most of Tanya’s writing shows how people do/can/should appreciate other living things that share this planet with us. She said, “Science is finally proving what so many of us have known all along – that we are not the only ones who feel, think and problem solve.”
She grew up in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and spent many happy hours and years with the family dog, Simba, doing exactly the same things shown in this book.
