Opening Friday, April 10th at MAC

This traveling exhibit is a collaboration with artists and poets at Vermont correctional facilities and is free and open to the public.

The exhibit features art that has emerged through the State carceral system and includes drawings, mixed media, poetry, and narrative writing, and shows that one can find hope within.

A closing reception will be held on Friday, May 8, starting at 4 PM, and will include presentations by the three co-curators of the exhibit: Heather Newcomb of Vermont Works for Women; Ashley Messier of VT Women’s Justice & Freedom Initiative; and John Vincent of A Revolutionary Press.

The MAC Center For the Arts is a 501C-3 non-profit organization located at 158 Main Street in Newport. Our hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM.
