Laura Lacroix | Acrylic / Collage

I am a contemporary artist, living and working in northern Vermont. For 25 years I worked as a School Counselor in the local public schools while pursuing my art part-time. In the fall of 2024, I retired to focus fully on my creative practice.

Working primarily in acrylics and collage, I create imaginative compositions that feature figures in fantastical landscapes inspired by mythology, folklore, and original narratives. My paintings explore storytelling through symbolic imagery. My layered techniques bring depth and texture to each piece, inviting viewers into a richly constructed visual world.
